ABOUT
THE STORY BEHIND CARTE BLANCHE
It was in 1960 that our family began its adventure in floristry. Our father, having received an offer for a position as an organ tuner at Casavant et Frères, decided to offer this job to his brother and opted instead to go into flowers. Having an innate talent in art in general and in business, Jocelyn Ledoux began an entrepreneurial career that would fascinate him throughout his entire life. In total, three flower shops and a furniture store occupied his life. You must have known him to understand the meaning of his passion for flowers and decor. There were no half measures when it came to the beauty of nature and design.
This is how the years pass and several members of the family and in-laws are inspired by his journey and also launch themselves into this flourishing field. In total no less than twelve members of the family have been or still are in the flower trade. Involved in Flowers Canada and in the training of florists, it remains a fact that his time on this earth will certainly have left an indelible mark on the flower landscape in Quebec and it is through Carte Blanche that his memory lives on.
Jo, we will not forget you.
CARTE BLANCHE OWNERS TODAY
ROBERT LEDOUX - EVENTS DIVISION
From the age of 8, Robert Ledoux knew he would follow in his father's footsteps. His journey in flowers began with studies to obtain a diploma in floristry at the ITAA. In 1987, two years after his graduation, he won first prize as floral designer at the Gian Rocco Cup among more than 150 participants. This prestigious award opens the doors to a job as a teacher for adult training of future florists. Although he loves teaching, there remains an unfulfilled passion within him that draws him away from school and decides to open his own flower shop three years later.
His involvement in the community and volunteering are important to him and during his career. He became director, vice-president and District Education Chairman for the Quebec division of FTD and sits on various boards of directors. He organizes flower competitions and becomes a judge at various floral competitions.
Today, he considers that the passion to serve prevails over everything and that the joy of work comes through the realization and fulfillment of his clients' dreams.
Today, after more than twenty years at Carte Blanche, Mai oversees the flowers and gifts division.
Rest assured that, during your visit, you will recognize her with her welcoming smile and her empathetic personality.
